I am going to Eleven Madison park and was wondering if anyone has a recommendation where to get a nice glass of wine reasonably nearby. I really want to go to Racines but it seems like a big trek. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Why would you go elsewhere when you have a glass at the bar there?
If you want Italian, I Trulli’s wine bar is good and is a few blocks away on East 27th between Park and Lexington, or there’s the standup wine bar at Eataly, the market-cum-theme-park on 23rd just west of Madison Park, between 5th and 6th Avenues.
If you’re in the neighborhood and have time, be sure to check out Flatiron Wines, which is few blocks away.
Flatiron seems worth a visit if only for Muscadet!! Great selection.
i’d sooner arrive early to EMP to look at the list and enjoy a drink at their excellent bar, but…

I would definitely just go early to EMP and grab a glass at the bar. Or get one of their fantastic cocktails to start.
