Cool. I think you get such a different view/perspective seeing the city from the water/outside looking in.
Yeah thought that would be a great way to see a number of things, as well as being a break where we could sit a bit!
Always get choked up in places like NYC that illustrate what a great place America is.

So awesome to see this forum turn out and give great, on the spot recommendations to someone when they need it, and then also to see the pics in real time of the recommendations put to work. What a great medium for these types of exchanges a community can be!

What are the shrimp heads exactly like? I’m imagining something like Lotus’ shrimp (not tempura of course) just the other end?

@Robert_M_yers Meaty, rich and crunchy. They dusted them with paprika, which added just a hint of smoke and spice. I had the fried skate wing with it… That was tasty as hell as well. It was like a fish schnitzel (in the best way).

Have been buying ice cream from Laboratorio for the past few weeks and I will admit: I am impressed. Gorgeous stuff. Great flavors, perfectly calibrated, texture nice and delicate. We have them pack containers to take home, had maybe 10 flavors these past weeks, all great. Definitely my current favorite.
Did stop by Figo but was so sweet and artificial-feeling.
Went out to Brooklyn for Malai, which has great South Asian flavors and is a high-quality product. But Laboratorio pops a bit more.
