Your loss. I get to drink my baller bottle in peace! ![]()
Incredible evening everyone.
I thought 1980 Opus and 1980 Heitz were lovely–I’m also biased as it is my birthyear.
LLC hits above its weight every time. So many great wines from all over. Thanks everyone.
Super fun evening. The round table was a great idea. Many fantastic wines; it’s hard for me to pick a favorite. The champagnes showed really well too! It was very nice to meet many of you for the first time and looking forward to the next one!!
Vintage Krug at ~30yrs of age SINGS… no one should be opening those under 20yrs ever.
No pick of the wines and WOTN opinions?
Great night. Thanks for putting this on, Peter. I’ll do a better writeup if I get a chance this week.
My tops of the night were 1995/1996 Krug. 2012 Raveneau Valmur. 1996 Lafite (although not ready, maybe not enough air) and 2005 Mouton (surprisingly open).
Honorable mentions were 1980 Opus, 2004 Lopez GR Blanco, 2012 Unico, 1995 Latour (although the Margaux and Mouton competed well)
Pics leave a bit to be desired. Had a bit to drink.
