No. The delay resulted from sitting in one hour of sun followed by two hours of rain with my grandson watching the Jets stay in the playoff hunt by beating the evil Clevelanders. The problem is that I do not have three bottles of wimpy skin contact Vin Jeaune that is only enjoyed by long haired hippies from Brooklyn with bad pony tails.
just because Gavin moved to Brooklyn, and has long hair and likes weird wines from the Jura, and rarely shaves and for some reason likes you, does NOT make him a hippie!
and….
I wish I could pretend Jay was talking about me because that would mean I had hair. ![]()

Looking forward to tomorrow!
Please remember to bring your bottles already opened, and covered.
Ah for the good old days.
Wonderful time everyone. Lots of fun. So much Syrah! Shocked that only one flight was Cab, and not one Bordeaux. I’m working on dates for the next one. I think 12 is the magic number. Can’t go over 12 at this location.
Peter thanks for setting this up I had a great time it was nice to meet some new peeps. So great to try so many wines too bad the white burgundy was still closed, I have a little left to revisit. Looking forward to the next tasting.
I kept a small amount and 2 hours later is was really showing… such a difference a few hours of oxygen will do. all three of your wines were wonderful. The Ceritas really showed beautifully.
Thanks for putting this together, had a great time! Was really interesting (and humbling) to try to discern the different regions and price points-especially with so many great bottles! Hope to make it to another event soon.
This was a super engaging one. Thanks so much, Peter.
Was nice to see Syrah in its rightful place at top of pile.

For some reason halfway through I stopped asking for the bottles and missed pics. So there was a chappelet that was very good, an rdv, the egon mueller that was so delicious, a surprising ny Riesling, an alsatian grand cru Riesling that needed more time or air or both, peters roussannes(?), more Syrah, and plenty of others I’m forgetting. A lovely time as always and always humbling to guess cab when it’s clearly syrah.
