I’m interested to join the waitlist with a +1 ![]()
Somehow missed this post originally…but waitlist me. Have a smattering of 17 Charmes (dujac, amiot-servelle) and CDLR (dujac, arlaud, lignier)
Can you please add me to the waitlist
If anyone has any JJ confuron 17s that would be cool
Michael I’ll bring the 17’ Fourrier Charmes, I’ll look into what else to bring.
I’ll do the 2017 Charmes from Dujac and Hubert Lignier
Nice, liking the little Charmes vertical we have!
pure curiosity since i’ve not been to one of these events MC organized (i’m pretty easy on whatever yall normally do)…
is this a flighted tasting? like blind? or non blind flights? or just 50 btls on a table free for all?
look forward to it!
No it’s going to be pretty organized chaos; most people at least start out managing their own bottles but it’ll end up being an inordinate amount of wine and a bunch of people enjoying them haha. Definitely won’t be super organized.
We may try to pour all the charmes together etc; last time we did the Krug 169-172 horizontal side by sides which was really fun.
haha perfect…
yah having a few put together ‘flights’ for education might be fun when folks are … sober. ![]()
before it moves towards organized chaos sounds lovely.
in any case. look forward to it!
Yeah the last one we did there was like 17 different echezeaux but they were definitely not flighted.
(Chuckles)
Tasha & I did quite well with the two Krug Flights in August. It’s up to the group, but I’m more than happy to Somm a bit and try to reserve 6-8 ‘actual’ pairings/flights.
If we get 28-36 bottles total (Champagnes, others, et al.) It wouldn’t be too hard to set aside 8 pairings/side-by-sides on the side table. I don’t mind coordinating that, if we think that would be fun. Then the other bottles could ‘float’ a bit and people wouldn’t have to constantly be on ceremony.
When we get to March, we can see if we can get a chunk of wines declared a few weeks in advance, and the more advance notice we have, the easier it will be for 6-8 pairings if we so choose.
The Krug flights were really fun so maybe this is something worth aspiring towards. It’ll be fun either way :).
Problem is it could be hard to share 750’s with 20+ people. Like most large events, not everyone gets to try every wine.
100%
I certainly wouldn’t aspire to do that on more than half of the wines :). Just a fraction. We’ll always choose group comfort over discipline, so have no fear of that ![]()
We got everyone small pours of the Krug that time and the Rousseau/fourrier/clair the time before; certainly it’s not an optimal taste but I think it wasn’t too bad.
nice Nick… look forward to meeting ya. can share my FF secrets…

Dude, if Grammer doesn’t do it, I’ll have to glow you up on that thread… Dowdle first half/Wilson 2nd half is quite possibly best WW work in decades. That’s more uncanny than people realize ![]()
I will bring 17 Henri Richard Mazoyeres (which it technically Charmes) + another burgundy ![]()
Cool that LSJ would be nice too if you can find it!
It’s at my friend’s place in Lyon; I don’t think I’ll be able to go there before that date unfortunately. But I’ll most likely bring another Rousseau ![]()
