Cider is fascinating. Diverse in style and flavor and variety. One of the oldest beverages in the world. Almost certainly Revolutionary American’s beverage of choice. Lost to mono-cropping and commercialization in US and then resurging in the early 2000s with the “illegal” foraging of wild heritage cider trees. Fine. Cheap. Complex or simple. Food or no food. Onwards and Upwards!

Please bring a great cider. Would be nice to have UK, France, Spain represented along with US staples. I’ll be cracking open some back vintage Jerôme Forget (Normandy) and a large format of Aaron Burr made custom for Blue Hill Stone Barn.

We visited Gidon at Hudson Valley Cider Project last weekend. He makes Original Sin and also grows an amazing variety of apples on his home farm in Ancram. Super visit, I brought home some Pink Pearls and they motivated me to buy a press and give it a try!
I love Andy! I have a ton of his stuff. I will bring a bunch of Aaron Burr bottles. We should coordinate so we don’t bring the same stuff. I’m in!
Folks… if you are on the fence about cider, this is the time to try it. I will bring some great stuff from Andy. Tilted Shed is also one of my favorites.
