Nov 8th Berserkerfest post PDH brunch

Anyone interested?

I found out today I’ll be in NYC for work that Mon and Tues so I can stick around the city.

I know EMP does brunch/byo, but is pricey both for cockage and meal, any other good options?

I think I’m headed to Ricca’s that day, and since he’s my ride, it’s up to him!

“george” just rang (before he was mugged and lost his cell connection) and said Cafe Cortadito (sp?) might do brunch, and if we say the magic spanish word, they allow byo.

FYI, Cortadito has slimmed down, they’ve turned part of the place into a take-out, so Whore-gay might want to check his facts first.

While not BYO, Les Halles has a relatively decent brunch. But brunch in NYC SUCKS, with long lines, pushy stroller brigades, and no reservations. I’d rather cook at home with some good eggs, decent bacon, and delicious Champagne.

If you go late enough (not a bad idea given the previous night), maybe 2:30 or so, you can avoid the worst of it. Landmarc might be a decent brunch option. They’ve been willing to deal on corkage in the past.

Good thing I’m staying at your place that night.

I like my eggs over medium, thanks.

Put me down as a definite maybe…I still don’t know what day I’m leaving but brunch sounds perfect.

We’ll probably still be sharpie’ing someone’s forward by brunch - with any luck.

Actually, for a big group, Dim Sum is the best option, but we’d have to go early.

I was thinking the same thing. Anyone want to travel to the burbs? Less stress on suburbanites like Leo and Jorge and me. If I do not have a conflict (I have to check, there is one possible issue but I think I’m OK) I could whip up some nice breakfast food. And some steak and eggs just in case people didn’t have enough the night before. And wild mushroom omelets. And I always like waffles. And I make really good home made blintzes. Maybe with a little caviar - never did that before. And then there’s my wife’s quiche. And we’d just have to get some stuff from the Mt. Kisco smokehouse. They have great herring in cream sauce and lox. And we could make some risotto, that’s kind of like hot breakfast cereal, right?
