http://www.drinkthegrapes.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; has 01 Mondavi Reserve magnums for $75, at least on their website. I got 2 for me, but I don’t know if anything is available. If it is, it is a heck of a deal.
I ordered 3, we will see if they actually come through with the goods

I ordered and paid for my wine almost 2 weeks ago. received a really scary email confirming my order had been received and telling me its been fun. Not only did I not receive an order number but no tracking either- chased order but keep being fobbed off with lies - terrible company to do business with.

Hi everybody–
I just joined this morning (after being a shameless, steady lurker for months), and I’m looking forward to joining in on some of the great discussions I’ve recently been watching from the sidelines! But first…
FWIW, I just wanted to weigh in on this thread since I’ve done business with Steve at Drinkthegrapes for years now and have never had anything less than excellent service. Time and time again, I’ve had remarkably quick delivery whenever I’ve requested it (I suppose it does help that I’m only one state away!), and I’ve certainly taken advantage of more than my fair share of his tremendous deals.
Just my .02 on the topic…
Hey Mark, thanks for the post and welcome to the board. I hope to hear a lot from you.
I couldn’t pass this up… ordered a 6 bottle case.
Price including shipping came to less than $71 per mag!!!
Now we’ll see what happens.
I got a confirmation email from Steve, wine ships tomorrow.
I would pop a btl when they arrive. If they are coming from the same wholesaler as us in Metro NY, this is most likely old stock, that has not been in temp control. Last year, I got some 1994s that were all shit and had to be returned.
Again, I am not sure that we have the same wholesaler as them, but I suspect that we do.
And before someone flames me, we knew they were shit because, despite the fact that the btls looked fine, we opened up a btl and it was dead…so we opened another btl…same result…and back to the warehouse they went…what a waste…they were so cheap…
Dan,
Is it typical for wholesalers to dump at prices this low. This seems more like a fire sale or a last minute dump for cash.
They are gone, received an email from Hannah Maggs stating that they are sold out
Typical? No, but Mondavi was just a part of the Constellation Brands switchover of wholesalers in NY, so this could have been old stock at the old wholesaler.
