Not Bourgogne Blanc

Bourgogne Pinot Blanc

Lots of posts on Bourgogne Blanc, here’s a non-Chardonnay alternative.

2022 Trimbach Pinot Blanc - Under screwcap. Pale to medium gold color. Aromas of ripe pear, flowers and Granny Smith apple. The palate is medium in body, ripe and fairly lush with fine balancing acidity. There’s an earthy hint in the reasonably long finish. The pear fruit balances nicely with the apple element. Rated 88.5. Seems fully mature but probably safe to hold at least another year. Eighteen bucks? Yes, thank you.

I think I had the same vintage a few months back and I would agree with your notes. However, I paid $14.

I love Pinot Blanc and pick them up whenever I see one I haven’t tried yet.

Cheers!
