Non-stick pan recommendations

After going through some expensive all-clad we got for our wedding, we decided on the use for a few years and toss approach. After trying many of the cheaper ones we found one we really like - the Tramontina (found the first ones at Costco). Reading this thread I see it is the one recommended in the linked review. It really does seem to work better than the others we have tried.

I swear by the ceramic greenpan

Le Creuset nonstick is amazing. Lifetime warranty as long as they are not misused (no ultra high heat or metal utensils).

I didn’t know about the warranty. I’ll return mine.

Why? You weren’t pleased by it?

I’m in need of another nonstick pan, as I use it for breakfast 6 days a week, so I only get about 2 years of use from them, even the pricier ones like this Analon copper something or other…

Best deal ever, replace it yearly…

Besides America’s Test Kitchen says so!

I’ll pile on: T-fal rocks. You can even get a decent sear with them if needed!

This pan is AWESOME - extremely highly recommended (learned of it in a review posted online)

Stratanium is the new nonstick coating from Scanpan (came out sometime in the past year). It’s supposedly even more non-stick and more durable than their previous coating (which if true is pretty astounding!). I’m not sure, but I suspect it is still based on their Ceramic Titanium technology, just improved (Scanpan has always had a confusing website). I haven’t tried one yet, but they are obviously trying to get rid of their stocks of the older pans since there is a sale on their website (and other stores like Sur la Table…Scanpan CTQ is Sur la Table’s branded version of Scanpan CTX, and their sale price is even lower than Scanpan’s).

Although I haven’t tried the new coating yet, I would have no problem buying one of the old pans (if fact I just did, for a Mother’s day present). In my experience, they seemingly last forever and are twice as good as any other non-stick pan I’ve ever owned (All-Clad, Calphalon, Circulon, yada, yada, yada…).

+1

Great surface, weight, conductivity. And I think moderate high heat is Ok, 450 in oven iirc.

My previous fave was aHenkel, still in use after many years (I think ten, I’ve lost track), the interior is actually holding up better than the outside. But out of production now. I have couple of modern Henkel but prefer Le Creuset.

Went from T-Fal to Oxo based on Cooks Illustrated

T-Fal is not flat… oil moves to the side.

Love the Oxo…

I’m bumping my post because this pan is fantastic, and for only $32 you can’t beat it

We have a few of these for eggs… aluminum is nice and thick, cast stainless steel handle… well-made pans. Costco carries them, too.
