Nomacorc question / Levi Dalton

Left hand low. Keeps the corkscrew level on the follow through.

Sound technique. Sometimes I add a little jiggle as if I’m trying to open a rusty front door lock to a crappy vacation home and a hip thrust for good meausure. Let the spirit move you however it sees fit.

David, I had similar issues (but nothing so severe, it was just hard to get the (Noma)cork out, no damage) about two years ago. Since then, no problem. I tend to drink these wines pretty young, but admittedly I haven’t kept track of which bottles were more problematic.

I remember you suggesting that maybe the bottle openings were a bit small, making the cork harder to pull. Any news on that?

Would post but I’m afraid of breaking the internet.

One must properly address the closure before beginning the extraction, and a wide stance is very important for proper removal.

I confirmed the undersize bottle neck on the one, but have not been so diligent with bottle I.D. on recent ones. Need to get the inspection equipment out again. Probably should have it recalibrated.
