Let me know what your program is while you are here… I am sure we could round up some folks to pull some corks. Too bad you are leaving on the 8th, there is a whole berzerkers crew coming in on the 9th for the weekend…
Scott, I am on Flexiplan. My trip plan was to head to Chicago first meet some people do the program at The Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago then the next day head up to Ann Arbor to meet Chaad Thomas and taste my wines with him. He is in Italy and returning tomorrow and if it’s cool with him I could do it in reverse. Head to Ann Arbor then to Chicago and stay the 9th and meet up with Berserkers.
Okay, I am going to change my dates just a bit so I can meet all the fellow berzerkers on Thursday night. Scott, my Nolita is going to be with me, will that be a problem?
There are some bezerkers getting together in the burbs on thursday night, my place is Friday night, I got the dates wrong… hope that doesn’t mess you up
No problem, it looks like Naperville is about 45 min to 1 hour west of Chicago. Do I really need to fly? I mean with all the wine I will be lugging around and my car, driving is easier for me. Can you recommend a hotel close by or would you rec just returning to Chicago? Nolita is okay to come?
This is all coming together so nicely. I am all set to meet up with the fellow berserkers at Chez Chris on the 9th.
On the 8th BB’r Larry Kaplan is opening his Wine Bar next to his store The Wine Cellar at Century Plaza 361 West Northwest Highway Palatine, for us to meet and share a glass or few of my wines there as well. I will bring some of my Spanish gourmet items for some quick Tapas. My guess is around 6:30 pm or so to convene.
Scott can share my Thomas the train bed as long as it’ll hold the two of us and he doesn’t even think about taking the stuffed animals from me! If he does, he can share Bowden’s bed…that dude is a stuffed animal all his own!
Just arrived to the Chicago area…Dayton to Ann Arbor, tasting there with Chaad Thomas at noon then drove on over. Not a bad drive except the hitting rush hour part. Going to look for something to do with Nolita la guapa! I decided to stay out close to Palatine since we are going to have a tasting at Larry Kaplan’s place tomorrow night. Any thoughts on something super kid friendly in this region of Chicago?
