I regularly buy a couple of guy’s allocations. They want to stay on the list but for whatever reason (I know but that isn’t relevant) don’t want or can’t take the wine. No one is obligated if I don’t want the wine I don’t have to take it and if they want the wine I’m out of luck. No big deal.

Very simple – can’t afford to buy the allocation this year, but want to stay on the list for future better (hopefully) times. That’s the boat I’m in this year and will be offering up quite a few mailers in the coming weeks. The times are tough.

As said below, my income is currently about 30% of what it was a few years ago. I enjoy the wines, and am not sure if I want to drop off of the list. I’m in between ‘real’ jobs, with something lined up this fall. If I decide that I want to buy the 2008 vintage, I could, and if I decide not to purchase it myself, I’ll drop off.
Plus it’ll help out a fellow berserker 
Now with the price @ $52…it makes it even harder.
