Alright, I’ll give it to you haha. I was definitely thinking more Realm or Empreinte Sauvignon Blanc as a comparison.
Is this the Ghost Horse equivalent of Grenache in Napa? This is pretty wacko to me.
If you search for it, I think Roy Piper posted enthusaistically about a barrel sample taste of this (don’t quote me on that).
But even then, $200 is way up there.
How much do their Cabs run? I was hoping to by some of the Grenache but no thanks at this price.
I think the cabs are $250 or $275. LPB gave the Grenache a 94-96 rating.
Their Red Blends are $250/per, and their 2016 all Cabernet was $300/per.
Interested to try, but passing at that price
Was interested when I saw Grenache from Napa. Lost interest at $200++. Can buy established producers like Alban Pandora or Estate, Horsepower, Cayuse and Torbreck Les Amis for less. Will be interesting to read tasting notes when they start to hit CT.
fwiw. 2020 offer
Grenache $600/3 pak
Sauvignon Blanc $270/3 pak (up $10/bottle)
Houyi 100% Cabernet $900/3 pak
This is my favorite SB in Napa Valley.
Memento Mori and Eisele make amazing whites too, but if I had to choose, this is #1.
The Cab is stellar. Favorite Houyi vineyard cab.
Grenache is good but not $200/bottle good.
I had signed up for their mailing list, hearing that their cab was very good. Got the offer today - but cab at $300 a bottle is a pass for me.

I would have to agree, Nine Suns makes an incredible Sauv Blanc.
