This was the third bottle from the case, and I had hoped to find a wine that was close to the brilliant Vergers and the even more brilliant Chevalier. The first bottle had been served too warm, the second a far cry from the other two; perfectly adequate, but lacking the fireworks of the other two.
Alas this bottle also hit adequacy but got no further. Pleasant enough but any real character and complexity was missing, not to mention energy. Interesting how one premier cru was such a success, and one so ordinary.
