New York City, aka Manhattan and the boroughs BYO

I’m still doing carnivore diet for health reasons… I just tried re-introing wine this week. The steak and lamb chops were cooked well, no complaints there. My dining counterpart said everything was great. I’ve eaten there last year and thought it was all great at that time. The menu was enticing.

They told me no but that can change.

Al Fiori again on Monday, $0. Also the restaurant is on InKind. Guests said food was either ‘just good’ or “great” depending on the dish/person. Nicer, more luxurious vibe, easy to get a reservation. Very nice service and nice wine service (staff chilled the bottle and made sure to check in twice to ensure it did not get over chilled).

What was their corkage fee previously? Curious what caused them to drop it.

Love the food. List is descent so its never hard to find something I want, but a bummer to hear

No idea. Just called today before dinner to check. Haven’t been since shortly after they opened. List isn’t bad though.

Wow, I was just there a month and a half ago and brought a bottle for corkage.

$100 seems to be a mid and acceptable price for Michelin restaurants.

With two and more stars, the restaurants are about to charge 150-250 for 750ml, where I always bring at least triple valued wines.

I’m creating a BYOB map on Google Maps to make it easier… Will do a no corkage and corkage layer.

In the past Russian Samovar was co-owned by Mikhail Baryshnikov and Joseph Brodsky (Nobel prize winner in literature). You can still ask for the table where they were sitting.

If you guys want to help, please contribute in the below format:
