Hoping that doesnt entice flippers into the fold…. But the territory comes with that inevitability i suppose

Hi everyone — thanks for the shout out on the upcoming release.
We harvested our '26 Cabernet from MOWE AIDA yesterday. Quantity is down a little over historical but the quality of the fruit was spectacular.
@David_Crow — there will be wine available to the wait list. Not sure how much SB, or if any at all, but I expect there to be some.
@T.Phillips — thanks for the comment on how we’re staging the wait list release. These things are genuinely hard to figure out. All you can really do is sit on the sidelines, watch how others handle it, listen to the feedback, and then decide what feels right for you and your brand. Our thinking was - people come out, walk the vineyards, taste the wines and then we have nothing to sell them. Giving them first crack once existing buyers have purchased seemed like the best solution.
On the waitlist we’re doing first come, first served rather than going to the oldest signups first. Again, no idea if that’s the right answer, but it feels right for us. I’m open to any feedback, existing buyers or not.
We’re excited about these wines and love to see the excitement. @Roy_Piper thanks for the comments on the Sblanc and @Robert_H on the CAB.
Any questions - feel free to ping us. Harvest is in full swing, have whites all in and two fermenters going with cabernet. I’m tired but absolutely LOVE this time of year.

Can us nerds get the tech sheets for the 2024 vintage? I realized there are none attached at the bottom of the descriptions unlike the previous vintages. Thanks!

Unfortunately my designer has not gotten my tech sheets finished and uploaded yet. I have never really had anybody other than restaurants or trade accounts ask so havent’t pushed her on it. We will get them up asap, in the meantime, what are you interested in learning on the 24’s?

Production: 250 cases and 150 magnums

Thanks for the info. I see yield is up 10% this vintage Cab-wise (11 vs 10 barrels in 2023). Did you make any drastic changes in viticulture on the estate vineyard, or it was just a vintage’s conditions that allowed the vines to bear and ripe more fruit?

Ouch thanks for catching that - correction 2024 
We lost a number of vines in the 2020 glass fire and our replants came online. In addition, some vintage / winemaking differences accounted for a wee bit more. SB we have more and really just due to dialing in the vineyard and using more of what it gives annually (we have never used 100% made from the vineyard).

24 was a warmer year across the board. We’ve updated the notes on the site, but in general I think the Cab sits closer to 22 - more generosity in the fruit than 23, but still with freshness and vibrancy. The long, silky tannin we continue to get out of this site is very present, along with great energy. The 24 is more shut down than the previous two after bottling, so it’ll take a bit more time to strut.
The SB has the signature aromatics with a slightly rounder mouthfeel, and it hits all the notes we’ve gotten from previous vintages. A touch higher acidity by the numbers, though that doesn’t really show up in the glass to me.
All in all, I’m very pleased with the 24 vintage.

With this in mind, when Winter rolls around and if I must open one, would you recommend a '23 or '24? Proper decant caveats, etc acknowledged, and granting that both are still a long while before “peak”.
I ask as the book on Napa '23s has been they need time, so I would have expected the '24 to be more ready - but this comment and the notes on your site seem to point to '23 if I just had to open one. Obviously difficult to overlook the glowing CT reviews on '23 as well.
Not to hijack Mike’s question (and assuming he’s asking about the cab), if I may throw 2022 into the ring as well…
Maxed out on the order with wishes for additional bottles. One of the easiest purchases of the year!
