I’ve had it a few times now…good, but not top level good.
2023 Frog’s Leap Sauvignon Blanc Concrete aged - USA, California, Napa Valley, Rutherford (11/25/2025)
100% SB fermented and aged in concrete…the color is gorgeous! Chablis like, a little cloudy with a pale golden yellow, and green tinge…inviting nose of lemon grass, hay bale, lemon chiffon cookies, wet crushed rocks. Very bright and refreshingly CUT on the palate…crisp orchard fruits, with a rain water purity…alllllmost heading to the New Zealand style, but stops short of jalapeno and grapefruit, and goes more towards crushed rocks and Loire minerality. Pretty subtle florals of jasmine, mint julep, white flowers…the wine is very easy to like, and somewhat interesting and complex…but not a blockbuster like the 97pts bestowed on it from Vinous imo. Super tasty SB from Napa..at a great price…but not in the same league as an I Block imo. A little age might make it a little more interesting though… (93 points)
Lail was really interesting. I had high hopes given the 100pt AG score but fell a bit flat to me and was really confusing. It started out almost feral, which was strange, and then was super tropical. There was great discussion over this wine. The Frogs Leap and Arietta tied for last in our tasting but they were still solid. The Frog’s Leap was certainly a stylistic outlier, That Fidelio always delivers for me and one of the most enjoyable SB out there IMO..

This is AMAZING!! I just dropped that into AI to see what the heck it was and this is what it said “The black-and-white rocket-marking concept predates Apollo. Early V-2 test rockets used conspicuous contrasting patterns so engineers could visually determine whether the rocket was rolling around its longitudinal axis. NASA carried that general concept through vehicles including Redstone, Saturn I/IB and ultimately Saturn V”
I’m ready to go for 8 Sep. Rough couple weeks here for me. Palisade Canyon last week, 001 Vintners tomorrow, MOWE next week on the 8th, with Riverain Tench the next day on the 9th. Oh, and was just informed that I had a wish request for Kinsman Eades Käännös granted.
My wife and I were lucky enough to taste the 24 Cabernet just after it was blended and it continues to be awesome. Opened up beautifully throughout the night and per usual, last glass was the best. Looks like they have updated the website with their tasting notes for the 2024s. Will be a max buy for us.
Does anyone have a sense for how much (if any) they expect to be left over for the wait list once existing buyers purchase? Given the hot demand I’m guessing most prior buyers will purchase again, so did they increase production at all that would allow some new people to purchase?

On Monday, September 14th, at 8:00 a.m., as a thank you for being a member of our waitlist and visiting MOWE since our last release, you will have the opportunity to purchase after our current buyers, but before the general waitlist and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Given the last year’s momentum, the growth of our list, and the enthusiasm we’ve had for MOWE, we encourage you to log in as soon as your allocation becomes available.

Had the 2024 yesterday and really liked it. It was flintier than the 2023, with its usual great acid level. Had it next to a 2024 Napa SB more than twice its price and I preferred the MOWE. Sounds like there is a little higher production in 2024 too so hopefully more of you get a shot this time around.
