New Hope, Pennsylvania

Anyone have any recommendations for a good restaurant or other activities in New Hope? Thanks!

Hey Jeff, I’m not far away in Newtown. Lots of restaurant options (ands tons of byob) including across the river in Lambertville. Anything specific you’re looking for in terms of food type or setting? (And if the byob part is important)

Following as we’ve rented a place for a week in late July. We’re also spending a couple nights at the Deerfield Inn-$10 corkage in the dining room. Also interested in BYOB in New Hope. Evidently, we can walk to Lambertville across the bridge.

Yeah, the walk across is very easy. For places in walking distance (e.g. new Hope or Lambertville) and concentrating on byob:

New Hope:

  • Amelia - (Have not been, but well regarded) modern italian
  • Zuobi - American gastropub, good food

Lambertville

  • Local Greek - Simple, good greek food
  • El Tule - Mexican/Peruvian. Great selection of ceviches, definitely get the slow roast lamb tacu tacu
  • SiSao - New location of long-time Lambertville chef Brian Held. Haven’t tried it sicne he closed “Brian’s” in the space that became SiSao, but local folks speak highly

Non-BYOB New Hope:

  • Nektar - fun for cocktails, nice outdoor seats over the creek
  • Karla’s - great little modern american restaurant. Love it for brunch

If you don’t mind driving a little:

  • Charcoal - down the river in Yardley, modern American byob, young brother chefs. Frequently changing menu
  • Delorenzo’s Tomato Pies Yardley - Best version of New Jersey style tomato pie you’ll find locally (thin, charred crust). Try out the sausage and garlic pie or white clam pie
  • Black Bass - north down the river in Lumberville, long existing restaurant, slightly more traditional steak house-esque cuisine

Very helpful. Thanks!

Thanks for the recommendations! We are actually staying in Lambertville. We made a dinner reservation at SiSao.

Lived in NJ for most of our lives, travelled from Sussex County (North) to Cape May County looking for great restaurants. Found many many great ones but our favorite was Blue Bottle Cafe in Hopewell NJ.
Google maps says it’s a 20 minute drive from New Hope. Worth every minute and it’s BYO ( no corkage).

Caveat is we haven’t been in 10 years but friends tell me it hasn’t changed one bit.
