New Here, Looking for some guidance

I simply made a suggestion - and not in an aggressive way.

Welcome to the OP

Made a quick perusal:

  • a handful of bottles may land in the $100-200 range (minus commission if going through auction)
  • a small portion may be taken for auction but not fetch much
  • a large part may not be accepted via auction but would make for a fun drinking experiment in the David Bueker/Crypt sense

This. Lots of great wines, but most of them have not been particularly expensive then and have not appreciated much. I expect nobody is going to pay big money on most of the wines, but they are great nonetheless. Lots of wine geek’s wines - great wines thst don’t cost much but punch well above their weight.

Selling them might not yield big returns and still might take a lot of work to make the bottles move. Most of them will offer more pleasure just by drinking them!

But I can understand if one wants to just get rid of a big bunch of random wines.

I sent them an email, have you ever worked with them as a seller? Any idea on responsiveness and what theyre looking for?

I have not, but I just spoke to Nisha two weeks ago as I am a new Unicorn buyer. She explained all their other services to me, including appraisals. Very nice lady, they are new and looking to grow their wine business.

Their next monthly auction starts next week on the 20th, so you can check in periodically to get an idea of what they sell and what categories are most active. From what I’ve seen, it looks like they take pretty much anything on.

I sent both Nisha and their customer service email a message with no response sadly. Maybe they’re busy prepping for the upcoming auction? Really though, even a quick response that they’ll get back to me is appreciated. WineBid was next business day.
