New England Clam Chowder and Chassagne - once more

Tonight’s supper was NE Clam Chowder (from the same ‘recipe’ as a couple weeks ago, with the addition of about a 1/4 tsp of onion powder and about a 1/2 tsp of chervil (to provide a little flavor addition). It was quite tasty with a 2005 Dom. Amiot Guy et Fils Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru ‘Les Macherelles’ - rich yellow-gold in color; rich flowery, initial nose & flavors of spicy pears and green apples, with a hint of citrus; bright, rich fruity mid-palate with adequate acidity; with a long complex citrusy fruit finish.

Then for dessert, after the rich creamy chowder we didn’t want cheese, we had another crisp Pink Lady apple, with three grappas - CiVidina, Banfi, and Badia á Coltibuono. This was a nice finisher after the rich Chassagne and Chowder.
