New CT feature??

Recently I asked (over at the CT forum) if there was any way to see global consumption statistics for a given wine. I was told no, but that they’d put it info consideration. For example, of all the 2001 Ridge Monte Bello that had been entered into CT, what % had been consumed and what % was still in cellars (it turns out 21% has been consumed, ~78% remains).

Pretty cool feature. I read people’s notes to see how particular wines of mine are drinking, but it’s also interesting to see if there are few notes because most bottles haven’t even been opened yet. Actions also speak louder than words at times – knowing most people are holding a bottle says something about the collective beliefs of age-ability.

Not sure when this got added, but thanks Eric. Very cool!

It’s always been there from what I remember. Bottom of right hand pane under community holdings. Shows CT user wines only obviously.

The data has always been there, it’s in the community holdings section in CT classic.

The new UI convienently displays the percentages as well.

Yes, it has been there for years. Your original feature request sounded a lot broader.

You can get the same at a producer level. When you are on the page for a wine, click the name of the producer at the top of the page in the breadcrumb trail to get to the producer landing page.

When will we be able to see a list of all users that currently have a specific wine? Sometimes I want to see what else someone might be drinking based on one bottle I have.

That’s there already as well. I used it yesterday.

We added that one 10 years ago.

I’m ten years too late huh?

Sorry all for thinking this was new. My bad. I still like it though.
