Never invite Mont Stern for dinner

Mont Stern has a place in Telluride so we decided to have a dinner at my place. I opened a 03 Shafer HSS and a 91 Spottswood, Mont brought a 94 Insignia and a SQN Rejuvenator.

Both his wines were corked!

It’s a good thing he’s a nice guy.

Obviously he not only deserves public humiliation for bringing you corked bottles, but he should be banned from buying or consuming wine EVER.

I know this is tongue in cheek, but he brought an 87 Diamond Creek & Long Shadow ‘Feather’, both of which were quite nice when I met him.

This is really funny. We had a nice OL some yars back at Michal Strnege’s house in Niagara on the Lake. Mont brought some older reisling which was great. But he also brought a bottle of his own wine as well. It was corked. And not just a little, but the kind of corked where you smell it from across the room the moment the bottle is popped.
I still have not had a chance to try his wine yet.
