The NEB4 (Nebbiolo Enthusiasts & Believers) event, the #4 one thus far, is being scheduled for Sat/Aug 10 in PasoRobles. The details as they come together next week will be posted to our FaceBook page:

It’s a rather casual get-together of mostly Nebbiolo growers & winemakers talking about growing/winemaking of Nebbiolo and trying to promote the variety in the USofA where, one day, the world’s greatest Nebbiolos will be grown.

NEB4: Aug 10/Paso Robles
Organizational planning is in progress for the convening of NEB4. Brian and Stephy Terrizzi of Giornata Winery in Paso Robles have agreed to host this year’s event. The date is Saturday, Aug 10.
Brian envisions a morning technical session of Nebbiolo growers/producers with a blind tasting of their wines followed by a casual/light lunch at his new winery. The afternoon session will be a trade/NEB member tasting of all submitted Nebbiolos, followed by an event open to the public, probably at the 15C wine bar in Templeton.
Additional details with times and costs will be forthcoming as the NEB4 event firms up.

Hi Tom, I was hoping to attend on the original date in July, but unfortunately the move to August makes that impossible. Too bad, but I trust we can count on you for a complete report.

Sorry we won’t see you there, Bennett. Here’s the updated info for the public part of the event:

Join us for the fourth gathering of Nebbiolo Enthusiasts & Believers for a rare public tasting of US Nebbiolos! 4-7pm on Saturday August 10th at 15C Wine Shop & Bar at 624 South Main Street in Templeton, CA (just south of Paso Robles). $15 includes the tasting plus cheese and salumi. Taste some fine wines, talk with winemakers, have a great time!

Also join us at 4pm on Friday August 9th for a tour of Luna Matta Vineyard at 5090 Peachy Canyon Road in Paso Robles. We’ll see nearly 5 acres of organically-farmed Nebbiolo there, and discuss the trials and triumphs growing this notoriously difficult grape.

As Tom noted, there is now a Facebook page for NEB, and you can “like” the page to receive more info and join the event on Facebook too. Hope to see a few Berserkers there!
