Napa Visit Recommendations

Visited Outpost and thoroughly enjoyed. The setting and space are beautiful and the view is great. I think it’s a great place to visit and I really like the wines.

I haven’t visited Heitz in 6-7 years but it was a higher traffic spot last time we went. I adore their wines and history, but the visit wasn’t inspiring. It sounds like one now might be able to pay $ to get a more intimate visit so hopefully an “experience” at Heitz is moving in the right direction.

Chappellet is a great visit. We had a fabulously scenic visit and lunch at Kuleto which is nearby and looks out over Chappellet and Pritchard Hill, but last I heard the tasting facilities burned.

Others that have stood out: Pott on Mt Veeder, Hendry, Caldwell for the cave tasting with John, Schramsberg for bubbles.

Covert in Coombsville would be a great stop as well! Theorem on Diamond Mountain is TRB and a fantastic venue and I’ve really enjoyed their wines although they are getting a bit pricey like everything in Napa right now.

How much was the tasting fee at Theorem?

Another second for Promontory. It is pricey but the property, views and overall experience is incredible.

I last visited in 2019. It was comped with a large enough group purchase. So I don’t recall. It may have changed now as well on the tasting fee.

I looked into Theorem this past fall. Tasting was $200/person and waived with a 6 bottle purchase

Whoa, the tag is a bit high for a winery I never interacted with. Gotta find a bottle outside to see if I like their wine before knocking on the door. Thanks for the info!

Thank you for the rec , Elise! We also have an amazing view and property and the wines wow what a long finish and representative of the struggle it is to grow on a hillside and on rock.
