Napa Dining Question...Redd vs. Terra

Will be in Napa in October. Between the two, where is the better dining destination?

TIA

Having only dined at Redd I can’t give you a comparison. I will say that the lunch we had at Redd was outstanding. Every dish was well prepared using fresh ingredients and the presentation was spot on.

R-E-to the double D.

Pork belly = yes.

Very compelling argument…who cares how expensive the list is.

Pay the corkage. I also know the somm there, may be able to work something out for you.

Sweet.

You and the +1 want to join us?

Assuming I’m not in harvest hell, absolutely.

Tuesday 10/20 or Thursday 10/22…when Opentable has the reservations, I’ll make them.

I am bringing all French wines with me.

The times they are a changin’

Not changing…reality is, what could I bring from CA that isn’t already represented somewhere?

Must open '96 Krug, '03 Pavie, '05 Pontet Canet, etc. while on vacation.

Been to both. Liked them about the same. I’d probably go to whichever was closest to where I was staying.

JD

I’ll be at that dinner.

Both are excellent, can’t go wrong with either. I think Terra a hair more upscale, i.e. I’d probably wear a coat but that’s not a requirement.

a blog post my gf wrote on Redd

Very good meal. The outside was infested with flies tho, which was kind of distracting. I’d love to be going here for dinner pre-berserkerfest but mr. Yang said I would never get a corkage cut (Even tho he knows Jason!! wtf)
