OMSG!!! Picked up a pint of Häagen Dasz Reserve Toasted Coconut Sesame Brittle. Absolutely amazing. Tastes like a creamy macaroon and the ocassional bite of the somewhat savory sesame brittle balances the sweetness of the ice cream stupendously. WOW!!!

Went into the Häagen Dasz website…love that they actually have wine pairings for their Reserve line of flavors. It doesn’t even matter that they got the spelling of the TBA wrong; it’s still pretty cool.

I had that one on Christmas. It was amazing.

I’ve tried two stores so far and no luck. Still looking.

Are there threads of Coconut in it or is the coconut ice cream just creamy and coconutty? I would much prefer option B…

I’m back from the store with both the sesame brittle and fleur de sel flavors… might even try one with the suggested wine pairing tonight!

I for one never find wine and dairy (other than cheese) to work. And I’ve tried…

Funny, I was just typing up notes from last night’s dinner. We had the most unintentionally perfect pairing ever at dessert, and the only thing that detracted was (drumroll, please) whipped cream!

I knew that Rosanne Barr was gonna be a big star when her first joke on her first Tonight Show appearance was this:

“So…I’m readin’ the nutritional label on a quart of Haagen Daz the other night and it says: '290 calories per serving…serves FOUR.” She waits a couple of beats and then says, “Yeah…riiiiiiiiiiiiiight!”

Tried the Coconut Brittle. DE-LISH but it needs MORE of the sesame brittle for contrast and texture.

We had mini scoops* of Basil and one of Celery Root at dinner on Saturday night
