So I don’t know if it was the excellent eggs mayonnaise we had at North End Grill 2 weeks ago or just that my mind was on a bunch of other things but getting up to make Eggs Benedict this morning I somehow made mayonnaise instead of hollandaise. To add insult to injury I was too fast with the oil the first time around and it didn’t emulsify so I had to redo it.
I added some melted butter and called it Egg’s Mayonnaise Benedict. Not that bad really.
Sigh.
