I was in town for a couple days this week, and made it down here on Wednesday night before the game to check it out. At least IMO, it blows Lombardi’s away. The crust was pure perfection - I had the basic margherita pie, and also tried the spicy soppresata, which was the superior of the two pies. But I would definitely revisit this place in the future.
My wife and I dropped by Saturday for lunch, to check it out. Had the same two pies. Loved the soppresata pie. I thought the crust on the pies was excellent. Reminded me of Zero Otto in the Bronx. Next stop…Pepe’s Yonkers. Think it opened up today…
Isn’t this place on Graham in Brooklyn or do they have a location now in Manhattan? Address/cross streets?
They took over the Una Pizza Napoletana space when he left for Cali and opened a Manhattan location (12th and 1st). So they have that awesome oven going for them.
Excellent. Good to know.
Jeez Joe, pace yourself. If you hit ALL the good pizza places on this trip, what will get you back here in the future?
Why do you think I come to NYC?
- Drink wine.
- Eat.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2.
