I like Cedric Bouchard’s since 2015 with the vineyard maps and Cimarossa’s single vineyards:
Unwrapping this the outer paper to find this:
Based on the recent delivery of a new wine to the W&M lineup, I’m in love with the look of the William & Mary Napa Valley Cab label:
For me, Valdicava
Weingut knoll
+1 (no relation, btw)

Wow, that label is FIRE!! Love it
I like simple elegant labels with well crafted symbols - the Ravenswood is an example as is the crest on the Sassicaia label.
I find the Ultramarine label very attractive and simple.
Deleted.
I’ll opt in on that one, eye catching and well done.
Do you think Merry Edwards was just channeling the original Clos du Val label?
My favorites include the following:
Germany:
Rest of the world:
Great wines, but a polarizing label:
Not to my taste, but I love the labels:
Great wines, but a polarizing label:
- Knoll: This is one of my five favorite producers in all of Austria, along with Hirtzberger, FX Pichler, Nikolaihof, and the late Alois Kracher. Some people love this label, but I find it garish and kitschy. Let’s celebrate our differences.
- Tesch: I think these wines are vastly underrated, and like the labels, but understand that some people dislike the presentation.
I’ll bite
Weingut Knoll, some fantastic wines. The label is, well, let’s say its quite forward lol. I’m not really bothered by it; it does stand out from a crowd and I can apprecaite it; yet I can see how some can be put off. Let’s say Freud would have a lot to say about it and I might know a few bikers with similar tattoos (unintentional).
Tesch has some good offerings. I’ve had a few and there’s some value there. Its in the middle of the pack for me to be honest for what I have had. The labels really don’t do anything for me comparatively to others. They could use some work.
Interesting call-outs there
I still think its so interesting to see the differences in the labels people find appealing. I definitely lean towards the minimalist or elegant labels over the busy ones
Not a label per definition, but the Prince’s seal embossed in glass for Massandra wines that belonged to his collection and which were worth being drunk by the Zar family…
Eric Kent does a whole series of artist labels, most of which change each release
