If any notification was sent about the approaching expiration, I obviously missed it. Also did not find the link to the payment portal (via memberships) searching on my phone but was able to on my laptop.

I’ve gotten a popup video ad on my iphone randomly the last two days - they go away and no other ads appear.
That happened a couple days ago, it has since been fixed

Restart your browser - the fix was made yesterday so it should work with all those in GCC or MC

I am getting ads, too. My profile says GC membership is good until 4/25, so this seems like a definite bug

I know, even I got one, working on it - told them to shut it down completely, hate the hassle - just waiting for them to do it
Strangely I never noticed that my subscription ran out. No ads and no reminders.
Then again there are many gateways that can be used to block pop ups and ads. Check what your WiFi devices allow you to do in terms of blocking unwanted content.
Your subscription ran out - notifications for renewal are sent to the original email used when subscribing, but in your case it looks like that subscription was cancelled by the user so you didn’t get the email
