September: 13 out, 12 in - net 1 decrease. Yay! Got some Tidings, Desire Lines and purchased some interesting old bottles (1982 Ridge York Creek among other things) from a random acquaintance. That was it.
Q3: 39 out, 36 in - net 3 decrease, 1/month. Finally a quarterly reduction again, it’s been years (I think). Now going for the annuall, but that’s a stretch - more than a case in the hole right now.
We put together a 6 bottle gift pack for a friend, so that helped with the consumption numbers despite a lot of travel, and some nights drinking sake, which we don’t track.
Another bad month, but done with known allocations and now it’s just resisting every other offer (and stuff I generally want to get). Along with a cold that worked its way around the family, there wasn’t a huge appetite to drink.
I see it’s been over 5 years since I last posted in this thread. I was doing so well, less than a case per year.
Let this be a Halloween warning to all Berserkers: no matter how long you think you have things under control, you are never completely free of the ghost of wine buying disorder.
