Monthly check-in: Cellar inventory reduction plan

Aside from my one necessary path, I would require Moses to be able to see the floor any time this decade. But one can dream, thank you for the inspiration!

Too many rules, so it’s in versus out for my count.

June: 13 out, 20 in - net 7 increase. Could have been worse, given our road trip with multiple winemaker visits. Fun times!

Q1: 44 out, 44 in - flat, 0/month. Sounds okay, but storage is overflowing no matter what, due to several June pickups (which is also why I enter upon purchase confirmation, I need to know how much space I have committed already). At least I’m down to less than half a case pending now, all futures.

+4 for June - backsliding after being +3 for May. That means 2025 needs to be the year of the second-half reduction!

+84 YTD :head_bang:

Buying for your kids’ cellars doesn’t count

Zero in, 3 out. But I eliminated one of my two offsite lockers, and sold the rack that was inside, with the benefits easily outweighing my wine purchases for the year.

FIFY. And that would help, but only a bit…

I’m fairly happy with that compared to how fast I was previously filling my cellar.

Half year report:
Purchased: 79
Consumed: 88

Not a good number for cellar reduction.
