Not true for the 45 Mouton. There are a number of authentic bottles around (but rare). The 45 RC, I agree with you.
Yeah I’m sure there are some of both wines left in the world, but figuring out which are authentic and fake is hard.

Want to drink again: 1976 Fritz Haag TBA and 1964 or 1971 Cheval Blanc (all drunk probably 40 or so years ago).

The bottles of ‘45 RC I saw were from a cellar purchase in 1985. That same cellar had the magnum of ‘62 RC.

To drink again? Maybe a pristine bottle (could I order a magnum?) of 1945 Vogüé Musigny VV.
To drink that I’ve never tried? 1962 Lafon Montrachet. The wine Jean-François Coche once told me was the best white Burgundy he’d ever tried.

I have had some wines from DRC (La Tache, RSV, GE and Echezeaux) but not Romanee Conti.
