Had the family over, so kept the price tag reasonable, to watch Russell Wilson’s return to Seattle and opened up some wines with some asian themed food, marinated tri-tip, noodle salad, and cucmber salad.
Started with 2020 Donnhoff OL Kabinett that was bright acidic and delicious, it didn’t last long. Next up was a 2021 St. Cosme Cotes du Rhone, this wine always delivers pleasure, showing good Syrah and Rhone typicity with a nice lick of acid. Delicious. Followed up with a 2019 Chateau Lanessan which wore a little lipstick, but showed good fruit and balance, will certainly look for some mags to cellar and some more 750ml for guilt free drinking.
Great to see Seahawks rise up and perform on MNF and send Russell home 0-1.
