Midwest Shipping from Envoyer

I have some wine at Envoyer that I’d like to ship to Chicago. Anybody else ? Maybe other midwest customers ?

I was planning to have my summer purchases shipped soon to St. Louis.

ok that’s a start. St. Louis and Chicago would be the two cities that make the most sense. anybody else ?

ok last call. Anyone else want to join us email me direct.

thanks

Not that I live in the Midwest, but what are you trying to accomplish?

I would guess he is trying to accomplish the same thing I am, but to DC in my case. Get enough wine together collectively and have it shipped on a pallet via a freight company and cut the shipping cost in half or so. I have a few folks lined up fin DC and trying to get the exact numbers right now, but if you have somewhere between 35-50 cases and can have them just put in on a pallet and have it picked up, the shipping is much cheaper. BTW, if you have a really good freight company lined up, please let us know. I will chime in with ours once I get a final quote.

Exactly. I use Domaine Wine Storage. THey handle everything for us and hve been flawless. Marc Lazar is a memeber of this board.

How much are you saving per case going through all this trouble?

Hopefully, at least $15-$20 per case. I’ll find out for sure next week when I get the case totals and get a final quote.

I am not a client of Marc’s, but if you could find out who he uses for freight shipping I would appreciate it. Right now i am simply getting quotes using google. I have an estimate that would definitely be worth it, but always looking for the best deal and a reliable company to get the wine here safely.

Kenneth,

You don’t need to be a storage client for him to arrange shipping. It’s also part of his business I believe. Many people in Chicago use him even though they don’t store with Domaine. The prices are very reasonable and they are very reliable. They’ve arranged shipping from allover the USA as well as England and France.
