Excited to try this. Might do it as a pre-theater option before a show at the Arsht.
Question: they like a happy hour omakese for 2 ($120). Is that pp or for the two?

The tasting is for two people. In general if you are going for happy hour, though, my wife and I greatly prefer Uchi over Uchiko. Unless things have changed in the past month, Uchi also offers 1/2 off all bubbles during HH while Uchiko does not.
We love Uchi HH and the 1/2 off bubbles, but are itching to try Ko. Thanks Keith!
Went to Sunny’s again tonight and it was spectacular. The pastas are amazing. Service was great. Wine list is just ok but $50 corkage is worth bringing a bottle.
That corn agnolotti pasta is probably my favorite pasta in the city. Have loved it since the jaguar sun days.
Went to Surf Club Friday night and excellent as always. Started with the Caesar and crab cake. Wife had the bucatini pomodoro, I had the lamb chops. Service was phenomenal.
Dont even bother opening the wine list it’s extremely gaudy.
Surf Club might very well be the best overall restaurant experience in Miami. Especially if you include a drink at the champagne bar before dinner.
Hangar steak at Sunny’s also excellent! And the rolls
Erba in coral gables on us1 also very good
Finally tried Itamae AO last night. Totally blown away by the meal and experience, and can confidently say this is probably the best restaurant experience currently in Miami. By far the most “Michelin” experience that I’ve had while dining in Miami. Cant recommend this enough, and already booked another reservation for next month.
We go every year when we stay in sunny isles, love it. Finally tried the Wellington this year.
I was pretty happy with Avra as well. The Tiger Prawns were insanely good. Didn’t even look at the wine list but I saw in one of the wine fridges they have DRC VR 1er, no idea what the price is. Beautiful room too.
Spot on. Some of the flavors I feel like could use a bit more variance, as Chef has a signature focus on sauce and texture, but you’re kinda splitting hairs. Biggest drag is going to midtown
Went to Aviv last might for a business dinner. It is not anywhere near as great as Zahav. Having said that it was an excellent location for dinner in the South Beach area given the quality of food was very good and the extremely fair pricing of $75 per person for a multi course meal. The wine list was small and uninspiring but again fairly priced and we found something decent. I would definitely go back especially if they do have a corkage policy.
do they have corkage there?
Yes, I believe the corkage is $150.
Probably well worth it; would have to carefully peruse the list, though.
Checkout Neya in Surfside. Really good Mediterranean/Israeli food and kosher.
The list is around 5x retail maybe more for burg/bordeaux/napa.
I just mean so you don’t bring something that’s on the list.
Highly recommend you guys checkout Marc’s Artisanal Pizzeria in Normandy Beach. Tiny spot, takeout/dine in only at the moment. Probably the best pizza other than Lucali in the area.
I need something in South Beach and this worked like a charm.
Had a great breakfast at Havana Harrys and an amazing quick pre-flight meal at Walrus Rodeo which I love.
