Merry Christmas from France

I would like to apologize for being distant of your so active and famous forum.
I grow old and I behave as if I had to hurry to approach some wines which are pure rarities which stay in my cellar and for which I would be sad if I would leave this world without having honored them.

There is no sadness in this perspective but I notice that I accelerate my path to drink the greatest and rarest wines that I cherish. And as it takes an enormous time to write about them, I have no time to translate my reports in English.
Many times I think that I should report on wineberserkers when I drink rarities but time runs so fast that I cannot take time.

When I drank 1929 Rayas, 1996 Leflaive Montrachet, 1947 La Chapelle Hermitage red and 1949 in white, and many others like 1962 La Tâche, the most glorious La Tâche, I thought of wineberserkers, to give a testimony of these wines.

I cannot stay silent for Christmas.
I wish all of you a wonderful Christmas and I wish you all the best. Sometimes I think that I should report more, but life runs so fast that it is difficult.

Please forgive me and enjoy life, enjoy great wines with family, friends and amateurs
Yours very friendly,
Merry Christmas

As our age progresses it sure does run faster. we wish you the best in health and wine as well.

Very nice sentiments.
Joyeux Noël Francois.

Wishing you and yours the best this Christmas and for 2015.

Merry Christmas Francois. I look froward to future reports from you.

Merry Xmas to you as well, Francois, and to all my Berserker friends.

I may not be in France, but I will be popping French all holiday long!

Cheers all.

Robert

Happy Holidays to all our Christian friends. I will be spending the evening celebrating with family and friends at the annual “A Very Jewish Christmas” comedy show at the Gotham Comedy Club with a pre-show dinner accompanied by Curmudgeon Cuvee Pinot; Willi Schaeffer Gracher Himmelreich GG; a Pouilly Fuisse and a Saxum Heartstone. The Gotham show is where all the Jews, Muslims and Chinese go for Christmas Eve.

Tonight we had :
1979 Krug Vintage : the perfect expression of Krug, even above the 1982 that I cherish
1967 Margaux (year of my first daughter) : wine not perfect. Drinkable but not what it could be
1974 Pétrus (year of my second daughter) : excellent Pétrus, elegant, all in subtlety. A pleasure to drink
1991 Yquem : very pleasant. It was not a famous year but tonight, with a “buche” with citrus fruits, a pure delight. Not among the great years, but certainly above all what was said about this vintage.

We had Christmas dinner with our two daughters (our son is in Washington DC with wife and children) and four of our grandchildren. Many gifts, many smiles and a nice Christmas dinner.

A votre sante mon ami!

Meilleur voeux pour la nouvelle année!

Thanks for the update and good wishes, Francois. Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas to you François. All the best for 2015 and lets hope you can spend a little more time here.

Best Regards
Jeremy

Merry Christmas to you and yours Francois. And the happiest of holidays to all others who hold other religious celebrations. All of the best to you all in 2015!

Cheers,

David

Happy new year!!

Merry Christmas. I also hope to see more of your notes.

At the risk of thread drift–“all the Jews, Muslims and Chinese”–everyone last one in NYC, Jay?
Must be a pretty big space!
