Meet the Newbies! (for Newbies at Noon launch on BerserkerDay 17)

I’d like to share a few personal experiences that tie into the above:

I set myself the task of adding more Santa Barbara wineries to BerserkerDay, so I had a mission to find and invite them personally. My daughter Ella wanted a wine tasting trip with her dad, making this the perfect opportunity. We discovered some fantastic wineries that I’m truly excited to add to our event. While we technically chose three of them (Dovecote, Clementine Carter, and Storm), the latter was traveling for a business event on BerserkerDay and had to bail, which is too bad. We loved the wines from each of these producers, so I wholeheartedly give my personal recommendation to both Dovecote and Clementine Carter. I know @SonjaMag has many fans here already with requests to include her, so we’ve finally made it happen!

@CamPorter at Dovecote was truly the host of all hosts. We enjoyed the broad variety of varietals, highlighted by their flagship wine Noumenon—a dead ringer for a Northern Rhone. I do believe this was the first time I’ve ever truly enjoyed a young Petite Sirah as well

The other I’d like to highlight is Susurrus. I assigned my wife as the ‘Newbie Taster’ for those since she was doing ‘mostly’ Dry January, and these sparkling teas are spectacular. Complex and giving you the experience that you ARE truly enjoying a fine Champagne rather than just ‘sparkling tea’. Jen had me order a 6-pack immediately thereafter…
