Certainly less reverred than their Montrachet but a thoroughly engaging and satisfying red none the less.

2008 Domaine Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru (2/16/2012)
Absolutely delicious red wine from brilliant white wine producer. The aroma is comprised of strawberries and cherries, iron filings and earth. It is quite sweet and plush in the mouth with a base of bedrock upon which all of the luscious fruits play. There’s an engaging thread of liquorice that runs through the palate. It is perhaps a little chunky but stacked for seriously long term development.
