Mascot wine

Has any one tried Will Harlan’s Mascot cab? The grapes are from the younger vines of Harlan Estate. I am just curious how the wine compares to Harlan or Bond.

The '07 I had was meh. Haven’t gad anything later though.

Easy pass with the allocation model that daddy uses. Not a fan of telling them how many you would like and then months later after all the requests are sorted out the tell you how many you can actually have.

Just curious…if the grape is from the same estate and similar wine making style…why the wine is not as good?
Hard to believe father will let his son fall this project…

I don’t think they use that model for this wine. They don’t ship to Ohio though, so I am out.

This is made from the younger vines at Harlan, Promontory, etc.

The question… is How much worse is “the younger vines” compared to the estate vines?

When I logged in, that was the exact model. I deleted the email and will not look back.

“As a member of the allocation we invite you to specify your ideal number of bottles below. We will do our best to fulfill each request in its entirety, while conceding that this is not always possible. We will, however, always strive to reward the loyalty of our earliest members.”

I don’t have any issues at all with the allocation model. Preferable to first come first served types from a perception standpoint IMO, regardless of whether or not it actually makes a difference in the end.

Can’t comment on the wines themselves, but I do look forward to trying them. Even if you put pedigree completely aside, the price point seems fair for a Napa Cab with QPR upside.

I tried number of wines earlier and never enjoyed the taste. I have been searching for a good wine for my bithday celebrations and The Mascot from Harlan estate came to my resume. Awesome taste and simply supereb

I am very surprised to see people paying close to $200 for the 08 on winebid.
