Please read these goodies: Based upon ABooboo’s post on the main thread, it appears that we will each be ordering our own stuff and just dividing the cost at each table, so think about what you want to eat. If you think you will be late and you want us to order something specific, let me know. I want to order at least one non-spicy non-seafood dish because my wife can only take so much peking duck.

Guys - sorry for the last minute bow out but I have been summoned to a board meeting for work tomorrow evening so I have to cancel. I will poast on main thread also so hhopefully somoone can fill my shoes.

John

Pre-party party - I know that a 7:00 start time may cause difficulty for some of you who will have extra time to kill before the event. My office is around the corner from the PDH and in the past we have had a pre-event tasting and appetizere munching in my office. If anyone wants to stop by, let me know and I will arrange for some cheese and meat and other similar fun things as a kick off event. I even have some Anthill Farms and a few other items if you want something to drink.

Just post here so I will know people are coming to get food and tell security. 845 Third Avenue, between 51st and 52nd streets.

Jay, are we keeping this California Cab -centric? Was going to bring an 06 O"Shaughnessy Howell Mtn, along with an 04 El Nido Clio. And I may be able to swing by earlier - hopping train in from Stamford, just a matter of which one I make. If not too much trouble, please add me to the security list, could bring a white for the pre-game…

The theme is Good Wines that Don’t Suck, which my son described as the same as the 'Department of Wine Department." You can bring whatever you want. We are not picky. Come to the Fifth Floor and make a right out of the elevator. We are the last door on the right.

Jay I get out at 5:30 and I am at 42nd and Madison. So expect me to swing by. But I dont need food…

This is what I’m bringing.

As much as it Pains me. I’m sick and can’t make it. Sorry

Put me down for the Antica Terra Botanica Pinot Noir 2008.

Last night Mike Smith posted on Twitter that Wine Spectator rated this 94. https://wineimport.discoursehosting.net/t/tn-2009-quivet-cellars-cabernet-sauvignon-kenefick-ranch-usa-california-napa-valley/55801/1

I think my wine education has just moved up to college level. [whistle.gif]

A few meager notes on the above. T/N: Berserker PDH dinner. Quivet/Congruence/O'Shaughnessy cabs - WINE TALK - WineBerserkers

It was nice meeting new and old Berserkers last night. [cheers.gif]

The wine is always overwhelming at these events. Wish I had more fact time with some of the wines.

Great night indeed, and great to see all of you again, and meet some new faces. It was an absolute pleasure, and I’d raise a glass with any of you again anytime! Cheers gang! And thanks again Jay for the hospitality at the pre-game! -mJ

Had a terrific time, was a pleasure to be overserved with all of you! Look forward to the next time.
