are wines that I have never tried nor do I own any of them in the cellar. Being the 1st of April I thought about hunting one down then decided continuing the status quo may be the order of the day.

2009 Frederic Cossard Chassagne-Montrachet ‘Abbaye de Morgeot’: Promising nose that is both complex and engaging. Notes of flint, smoke, white peach and almond. It hits the palate and unleashes one almighty assault of tropical fruits on the senses, led by a big hit of freshly cut pineapple. Some time in the glass and tropical things retreat leaving creamy peach loveliness trimmed with aniseed. The acidity is lowish but there is a suggestion of mineral. It is dense, sweet and chewy and quite long.

You should try to hunt these down. Everybody should have a list of “trophy” wines to try in their lifetime. While you probably wont have these as your everyday bottles, they are all worthy of a special occasion.

After two days, I finally bit too as I had to see how oil and water could mix in this experiment! Turns out we didn’t have to see that occur, a relief no less.

Jeremy, go open a Dujac and restore your sanity, plz.
