Had the 93, 94, and 95 together late last year. The 95 was the best of the three bottles; the 94 was dilute compared to the 93 and 95 and was just not interesting; the 93 was still drinking well. If the bottles were properly cellared I would jump on the opportunity if the price was right.
Magdelaine is pretty consistent, even in off vintages. 1993 is a light but still lovely wine, that is totally mature, and if you do end up buying should be drunk sooner rather than later.
I bought some various mags from shop when I was in StEā¦ I donāt remember why I purchased and what the significance wasā¦ still havenāt drank any. what am I forgetting about this producer?
Magdelaine is a throwback to old fashioned much more traditional Saint Emilion. I donāt think there is a single chateau in the appellation making this style of wine any more.
If you do a search, you will find plenty of discussions on the wine.
And the price is still acceptable
just got a pretty good looking b of 72. Howās that one doing? I drink 1 b of Bordeaux every decade. Iām overdue.
