Louis Latour 2009 Chambertin

The only red worth purchasing from Louis Latour is their Corton Grancey. It’s a blend of four Grand Cru vineyards, and with a little bottle age can be somewhat interesting. I had a '79 recently that was quite nice. And only if you can get it at a bargain price.

I would kindly have to disagree, their RSV is a solid tier (or two) above the Corton Grancey, especially in 2014 and 2015. However, for 1/3 the cost, it’s definitely better QPR for grand cru.

The 2009 RSV impressed me greatly when tasted blind a few years ago.

Almost the full range of grand crus en primeur this year. Lovely wines, but winemaking totally trumped terroir at this embryonic stage.

Thanks - I found them in a good shape in December, but different places/stages…
