The Miracle Machine’s Kickstarter page will launch in the next week or two. It’s like a Soda Stream — a contraption that lets anyone make their own soda — but for wine. The Miracle Machine is an affordable device that fits on a kitchen counter. It turns water and a handful of ingredients (available for purchase on James’ website) into wine in three days.
I saw this on Facebook, I can only imagine the “ingredients” are basically dehydrated grape must. It is going to be somewhat expensive, because apparently it monitors the temp and pH, etc during fermentation. The other kicker here is that the “ingredients” seem to be proprietary and you have to purchase them from The Miracle Machine.
Also, you would have to buy three of them to have a continuous supply of wine, no?
Sweet merciful crap.
Their bona fides are their great successes in the wine business…and yet they need a public fundraising campaign to capitalize the venture. Hmmm…

The video is good. This should be a late night infomercial.

FIFY!
Smart guys ALWAYS use OPM (other people’s money) on wild ass projects…
I saw this on Facebook and thought it was a joke. Whoops, apparently not.
This.
Looks like it basically using technology to speed up the making of a “kit wine” (wine from concentrate) As a home winemaker I made a kit wine about ten years ago, and while it was more or less “drinkable” in the same way that Yellowtail is, it also had a weird jolly rancher type aroma that I’m pretty sure is from the grape juice concentrate.
So I see a few problems (business wise) with this;
- it looks like it makes one bottle at a time. Anyone who drinks Yellowtail type wine is not going to wait 3 days for it.
- Most people who can afford the likely price for this machine are not likely to be the type of people who drink Yellowtail type wine.
- Not sure how this can be sold as a cost saver when you can get cheap box wine of likely equal quality for $5
Frank, just shut up and buy it!!!
Stay tuned for the sister release app “Loaves to Fishes”
It’s a miracle!
I do already follow Jesus on Twitter…so perhaps I was an early supporter (https://twitter.com/Jesus_M_Christ)

Those are the only problems you see with this?!
