you plan?
Pick a date, time and location and I’ll probably be able to show up.

Yoni will still have the lamp shade stuck to his head from Berserkerfest Napa.
A wine friendly place works for me. Anytime that week should work. What do we want to taste? I will probably be sourcing something anyway.
depends on the day, due to work schedule, but I’ll try and make it.

you’re gonna be right next to K&L wines so you’ll be in tip top shape
Charlie, weren’t you thinking about doing something at the Duck House? Would that be nearby?

he’d have lots and lots and lots of traffic coming from Hollywood, lot less going to hollywood than coming from
Cafe des Artistes is right around the corner:

They allow BYO and the food is pretty good. Very nice space.
I thought I’d posted to this thread earlier in the week, but perhaps I tried to post in the midst of a crash. I’m a newbie on WB, and may not be in town on the date, but figured I would add my 2 cents anyway. Cafe des Artistes is a good choice, but you might also consider Cafe Pinot downtown as well. It’s very wine friendly (no corkage fee!) and this would be a great time of year to sit outside and take in L.A.'s urban center. It’s also pretty centrally located for those that might be coming from OC, LB, etc. The food can be inconsistent, but I bet they would take pretty good care of a wine-centric group like the WBs. Hope I can join you.
I have to watch and wait. Definitely going to go to one of the Steely Dan shows mid-week and have another dinner to fit in.
I will say that there’s the metro redline right there at hollywood & highland, or vine; that zips downtown faster than one can possibly drive. Zucca is pretty corkage friendly and good. I’m also almost positive that Roy’s is waiving corkage fees for the rest of August.
There’s always the new Bistro LQ (where GGreenbaum does the wine). Corkage friendly though he seems to feel more than six would be a stretch.
I had a less-than-awesome experience with planning an offline at Cafe Pinot (they make you sign a contract once your group gets bigger than 8; they charge you a “service fee” for the “extra servers and glassware” they need – although I never saw any of said extra servers or glassware; they DO charge corkage once your group getrs larger than 8; food was middling; service was so-so) – I would strongly advise against that location.
I don’t mean to step all over you Peter … just a PSA. Would love to grab a glass or two with you sometime.
