This was great. Well deserved!
I like the fact that the podcast isn’t afraid to get into the weeds as far as technical concepts go, I really liked the podcast re: destemming/whole cluster wrt PN, though I couldn’t get more than 10 minutes into the Wasserman episode: talk about well-to-do society folks is eye-roll city for me. +1 to really enjoying Hardy’s episode, it got me curious about domestic Mourvedre in a way I didn’t think was possible.
Truly enjoyed the Lafon and Wasserman interviews- I found the John Kongsgaard interview quite good as well.
Mugnier and Hardy are on deck (have yet to try the Dirty and Rowdy wines).
I enjoyed the destuffing/whole cluster episode as well (I had a very small bit part near the end) - but found that some of the answers were more subjective than objective but came across as ‘fact’ rather than ‘subjective’. Not sure if that makes any sense or not.
And yep, Mourvedre is certainly here to stay in CA (and has been for over 100 years!!!)
Cheers!
Makes total sense, Larry, interesting point!
im so glad this was posted! I read the NYT article today and was overwhelmed with how many interesting sounding episodes there were on where to start. looks like I downloaded the right few to start with!
And Hardy got an “E”. Way to go man.
