Tonight’s supper was the final two ribs from our Xmas rib roast taken from the freezer and heated with some of the rib cap (also frozen), wrapped in heavy-duty aluminum foil, at 275F in a convection oven; for the time we were at Susan’s for her usual Friday tasting. Then we heated some chicken & vegetable soup. Veggies were broccoli, carrots, onions, and garlic. All was quite pleasant with another 1999 Ravenswood ‘Icon’ (much like the one a week or so ago) and Bach’s Goldberg Variations, played by Vladimir Feltsman on piano; slower and more piano-like than the classic Glenn Gould recordings. This was good, but I prefer the Gould.
