Last night for dinner we had leftover Green Chile Chicken Stew, with added chicken legs and chicken broth. It didn’t have a lot of green chile heat in it, so we hd a 2001 Domaine Ponsot Chambolle-Musigny ‘Les Charnes’ - cork a third of an inch below the capsule, cork barely colored; good spicy red and black fruit with adequate acidity; with a long spicy fruit finish. It was very good with the not so spicy chicken stew on a cold evening. We had a nice fire in the living room fireplace during dinner and for our Pepperidge Farm Chessmen Cookies with our after dinner waters for dessert.
I never realized you had a fireplace. Sounds cozy.
Our new house has a floor to ceiling chopped stone fireplace…gas only…code restrictions you know.
Come down some time to roast marshmallows.
Can we get brisket too?
And maybe afterwards, road trip to Santa Fe. The food there is amazing, as you’ve probably figured out from Dick’s posts.
Santa Fe is 12 hours away from the new crib.
Brisket will flow freely.
12 hours? Child’s play.
